I have let things slip a bit over the summer and so need to start making blog entries on a more regular basis again.
Well, I was at a winery near Ronda two days ago and this time last year they were in the process of making wine from Tempranillo and Merlot grapes. In fact, some wines had already finished the alcoholic fermanetation. This year everything is two to three weeks behind last year. The pips of the grapes are still mainly green and the sugar levels need to increase. The first photo below is of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes which will not be harvested until October and the second is of Merlot grapes which if the weather behaves should be ready some time next week.
